What We Consider

Elegance Meets Intention

Each piece is reviewed with care, based on its craftsmanship, condition, and alignment with our curated collections and current demand. We accept only a small number of pieces and assess every item individually and thoughtfully.

To be considered, pieces must meet the following criteria:

✔ 9–24 carat gold, platinum, or fine silver
✔ Adorned with precious gemstones (natural or lab-grown)
✔ In very good to pristine condition

Minor repairs may be accepted for high-value pieces by prior agreement (at the owner's cost).

We do not consider:
✘ Costume jewellery
✘ Damaged items (e.g., chipped stones, broken bands)
✘ Items valued under $2,000 (unless by special arrangement)

The Process

Your Piece, Thoughtfully Handled

We’ve made consigning seamless, respectful, and efficient.

  1. Initial Enquiry
    Email photos to hello@signaturevintage.com.au and complete our Pre-Appraisal Form. Please share any guide price expectations.

  2. Preliminary Review
    We’ll review your submission and, if the piece aligns with our current curation and standards, may provide a preliminary price indication based on the images provided.
    Final pricing is confirmed only after in-person appraisal, which typically takes a few weeks.

  3. Approval & Agreement
    If you wish to proceed, we’ll send you a Consignment Agreement to sign before listing your piece.

Note: If a listed item is later found to be misrepresented or inauthentic, it will be returned at your cost with a $250 handling/authentication fee.

When you consign with Signature Vintage, we:

– Professionally appraise, clean, photograph, and list your piece
– Cover insurance while in our care
– Present the item in our signature boxing
– Offer private viewings, tailored media, and buyer communication
– Cover shipping costs once the item sells

Fees & Payment

Fair Terms. Full Transparency.

Commission:
– 20% on items over $2,000
– Items under $2,000 (if accepted) incur a minimum fee of $400

Early Withdrawal:
If you remove your piece before the initial 120-day term, a $400 fee plus return shipping will apply.

Outright Sale Option:
Prefer to sell directly? We may offer to purchase your item at a reduced rate and manage all resale responsibilities.

Payment Timing:
Once sold and the buyer’s return period has lapsed, payment is made via bank transfer within 7–10 business days.
